From the Manufacturer
3M Particulate Respirator 8210Plus, N95 builds on all of the features that
have made the 3M Particulate Respirator 8210 one of the most widely used
N95s in industry, the PLUS offers new comfortable braided headbands and
staple free attachment.
Product Description
With a newly designed headband material, this respirator helps provide a
custom, secure fit with increased comfort from the soft braided headband
material. This respirator has NEW Comfort Straps. These soft braided
headstraps are highly durable and won't pull on hair. These straps coupled
with a soft inner-shell and multi-layer construction provide for maximum
worker comfort. An adjustable metal noseclip and soft nose foam help
provide a custom fit and secure seal. Use to reduce exposure to
particulates including dusts and mists. The 3M Particulate Respirator
8210Plus, N95 features 3M's patented filter media. Made in USA. Approved
as an N95 respirator under NIOSH 42CFR84 Standard.
CDC N-95 Information ( all
N-95 rated masks)
Recent CDC infection control
guidance documents provide recommendations that healthcare workers protect
themselves from diseases potentially spread through the air (such as SARS
or tuberculosis) by wearing a fit tested respirator at least as protective
as a NIOSH-approved N95 respirator.
An N95 respirator is one of
nine types of disposable particulate respirators. Particulate respirators
are also known as "air-purifying respirators" because they protect by
filtering particles out of the air you breathe. Workers can wear any one
of the particulate respirators for protection against diseases spread
through the air - if they are NIOSH approved and if they have been
properly fit tested and maintained. NIOSH-approved disposable respirators
are marked with the manufacturer's name, the part number (P/N), the
protection provided by the filter (e.g. N95), and "NIOSH."
